I put some impact tape on my driver and I consistently hit the golf ball more towards the heel. I shoot in the high 80′s and have taken lessons for this problem. Video tape shows my hands pushing out slightly (towards the direction I’m facing). The results are pull hooks or outright shanks. Obviously lessons aren’t helping.
Any drills or tips would be great!

An inch or so have fun.
never adjust to a problem!!! adjust your swing to fix the problem…heres some advice! i wish i could see your swing but i think that your problem could be pushing your hands out away from your body at take away…thus, your hands are naturally bringing the club back in towards your body to compinsate! this is often the big problem with golfers who hook or slice also this causes a great amount of problem with hitting the ball in the “sweet spot” try keeping your hands straight back and not moving them too far out or in…if you move them in the same problem could occur the other way…good luck

Your body and your hands have to work together. Try making shorter swings and go longer and longer as you get more comfortable. Also go to and read some of his tips.
